12 past captains and the incumbent Ladies’ Captain, Chrissy Gould, took part in a 9-hole Greensomes Stableford Past Captain’s Competition last Monday (14th August).
The event was organised by Chrissy’s predecessor, Connie Huntington.
The ladies were joined by Yvonne Wood, Angie Linington and Judy Richardson. – captains in 1988, 1997 and 2004 respectively – for lunch.
The competition was instigated in 1991 by the then Ladies’ Captain, Miss Freda (Johnny) Johns MBE. Yvonne Wood – who was instrumental in founding the competition – took pleasure in presenting the trophies.
The winners with a score of 26 points were Chrissy Gould and Chris Ellis with Stephanie Hart and Debbie Berry taking 2nd place on 24 points.
