Chris Gould and Shawn Ford won the ‘Rolling Pin’ competition at Shanklin &d Sandown Golf Club on Bank Holiday Monday (29th May).
The ‘Rolling Pin’ is played for annually by members of Shanklin and Sandown Golf Club in a Mixed Greensomes Stableford competition.
Ladies’ captain Chris Gould and past captain Shawn Ford won a hard fought contest with 40 points. Linda Piche and Tony Williams took 2nd place on countback with 39 points from Lucy Burke and Ollie Wilson.
Fran Cole and Bev Lowrie have won the McClelland Trophy.
The McClelland Trophies were donated to the Ladies’ Section in 2018 by Margaret McClelland, Shanklin and Sandown’s longest serving playing member.
This 9-hole competition takes place twice a year, and the trophies were very much front and centre on 19th May, when battle was joined once again.
Fran and Bev won with 23 points, with Jane Wilson and Lorraine Harley taking 2nd place with 22 points.
There were 2 nearest the pin prizes, determined by handicap. These were taken by Fran Cole and Lorraine Harley.
