UPDATED: A child has been involved in a road traffic collision in East Cowes this afternoon (Thursday).
Emergency services were called to the scene near to Waitrose supermarket shortly before 15:00 where it is understood the child has collided with a vehicle.
Several Police units and paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service are in attendance at the scene.
UPDATE @ 15:43 – A young boy has been conveyed to hospital by land ambulance after being involved in a collision with a Mini Cooper car.
The child is understood to have suffered minor injuries.
The scene has been cleared and there are no delays in the area.
