PICTURE GALLERY: Chic featuring Nile Rodgers brought an emotional close to Bestival 2014 last night (Sunday) with their hit-after-hit performance dedicated to a long-time guitar roadie, Terry Brauer, who passed away yesterday evening ahead of the group taking to the main stage.
The crowd really came alive for the fun packed set which featured chart-topping hits such as Dance, Dance, Dance; Good Times and Le Freak as well as a medley of other fantastic songs that Nile Rodgers has produced for many great artists.
As always the firework finale marked the end of another year for Bestival, with 2014 being hailed a great success and one of the best years to date with the weather staying warm and dry throughout, a stark contrast to last year.
As previously reported, Bestival organisers set a new world record for the world’s largest disco ball.
With thousands of revelers now making their way back to the mainland, the Robin Hill Country Park slowly empties out with many saying they will be back for 2015. The Island’s roads are flowing and ferry companies are reporting no delays.
Here are a selection of photographs from yesterday…
