Island Echo readers are being invited to join the Isle of Wight Chamber and the Island’s business community at this year’s Business Expo, which for the very 1st time will be held at Ryde School on Wednesday 12th July.
The move from Lakeside Park in Wootton brings the Island’s premier business networking event to a larger venue, with more scope for exhibitors and interaction.
Expo 2023 has also moved from the Autumn to the Summer, benefiting from better weather and longer, sunnier daylight hours.
Steven Holbrook, the Chamber’s Chief Executive, has said:
“We’re very excited to be moving our event to the grounds of Ryde School. Expo has been a capacity event for many years now and we needed to be able to grow again. We’re looking forward to welcoming more exhibitors and visitors, as well as offering new ways for businesses to interact with each other.
“We’ll be using marquees and the Pavilion at Ryde School. The new site is fantastic and it will be great to see the expansion of the event. We want people to make a day of it and for exhibitors and attendees alike to get even more out of their day.”
“Expo is a very rare annual opportunity for the wide Island Business network and community to come together. There’s no other event like it, where businesses can trade with each other, predominantly on a B2B basis. There’s also B to C as well, with visitors engaging with new businesses and discovering opportunities. There’s a chance to recruit too, and exhibitors can show potential employees what their business is all about.”
Steven adds:
“If you’ve never been to Expo, you’re missing out. Join us on 12th July to be part of a new launch at a new venue. It’s a bigger, brighter event with a brand new feel and set up. The main takeaway from the event for me is ‘more business’. It’s all about branding, exposure and engagement. So that might lead to sales directly, or education and promotion to new customers and potentially employees. There are so many reasons to attend.”
“Moving to the Summer is something that we trialled in 2019 and it really worked. With the pandemic behind us, we are now able to progress with our plans to grow Expo into an even bigger success. We know that Expo is a big part of the calendar for the Island’s business community and I look forward to seeing everyone in our new home, with – fingers crossed – some decent summer weather!
“We’ve got brilliant business confirmed as exhibitors but we’re expecting hundreds more visitor attendees on the day. If you’re in business on the Isle of Wight, don’t miss Expo.”
Entry is free for all to attend. You don’t have to be a Chamber member. Spread the word, let’s welcome as many Island business people as possible for a massive day of networking!
Expo opens at 10:00 and closes at 16:00. Find out more at https://iwchamber.co.uk/expo.
