Police have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to in connection with a serious assault in Ryde earlier this month.
As previously reported by Island Echo, Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary is investigating an incident that occurred on Union Street during the early hours of Sunday 1st June.
Between 02:15 and 02:20, a man in his 20s was punched, causing him to fall and hit his head on the floor. The victim, from Cowes, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital.
He has since been discharged.
As part of ongoing enquiries, Police have now issued an image of a man officers would like to speak to.
He is described as white, aged approximately 20-25 years old, about 5ft 9in tall, with short dark brown hair and a stubbly beard.
In this image, he is seen wearing a multi-coloured patterned jacket, a white t-shirt with a dark design on the front, dark jeans and white trainers. He also appears to have a tattoo on his neck.
