CASH, WATCH AND ELECTRICAL ITEMS STOLEN IN HAVENSTREET BURGLARY

Police are carrying out investigations following a daylight burglary in the quiet village of Havenstreet on Thursday.

It has been reported to Hampshire Constabulary that a home on Main Road in Havenstreet was burgled sometime between 14:30 and 16:30 on Thursday afternoon (20th February).

It has been confirmed that cash, a watch and electrical items were stolen from the property.

It is believed entry was gained via the rear patio doors.

No one has been arrested at this time but enquiries are ongoing.

The men of the family one would think would wait until the two or three days sentence is completed, should the police ever leave the car to catch such, and then discuss the burglary with the culprit. Likely have a more lasting effect than the pitiful sentence if one is even given.

There have been reports of quite a few opportunistic burglaries over the past few months. Homeowners have been saying that someone is going around trying unlocked doors on the chance of walking in to steal. I used to leave the doors unlocked when I’m at home but not any more,
