UPDATED: The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service, Police and the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service are attending a road traffic collision in Ashey tonight (Thursday) in which a car has come to rest on its roof.
2 fire appliances from Ryde, an ambulance, ambulance officer and several Police cars are on scene.
The road has been closed in both directions.
UPDATE @ 21:30 – The occupants of the car, a Hyundai, have escaped any serious injury and are described as being ‘walking wounded’.
It is thought the vehicle clipped the soft verge before losing control and rolling. No other vehicles have been involved.
Fire crews are now standing down from the incident and recovery of the small hatchback has been arranged.
