UPDATE: A car and motorcycle have collided on the outskirts of Newport this evening (Saturday) resulting in the closure of a main road.
Gunville Road has been closed with the junction of Forest Road after a Nissan Micra and a motorcycle with sidecar collided head on shortly before 18:05.
The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service are currently in attendance alongside Police and Ambulance crews.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
UPDATE @ 18:46 – Gunville Road has now reopened.
No serious injuries have been reported following the collision, in which the motorcycle sidecar collided into the front of the Micra.
Recovery for both vehicles has been arranged.
