Emergency services have this evening attended a road traffic collision on the outskirts of Wroxall after a hatchback car flipped onto its roof.
A Black VW Golf is understood to have flipped, seriously damaging the roof and bonnet of the vehicle, around 300m from the Donkey Sanctuary on the B3327 St John’s Road between Whitely Bank and Wroxall.
Island Echo understand one person, a male approximately in his mid-20s, has been taken to St Mary’s Hospital with head injuries, which are not believed to be serious.
Police have cleared the incident, alongside Bartletts Service Station who recovered the vehicle.
Southern Vectis’ Route 3 buses were delayed in both directions, with traffic backed up in the area.
