UPDATED: Police and paramedics are attending a road traffic incident in Binstead this afternoon (Friday), in which a car has crashed through a hedge.
Emergency services are on scene at Quarr Hill between Fishbourne and Binstead having been alerted to the incident at just before 14:45.
A Citroen C4 Picasso has come to rest off the carriageway.
Traffic is heavy in both directions but the road remains open. Southern Vectis are reporting delays of 30 minutes on their Route 9 service.
UPDATE @ 16:05 – The vehicle has been recovered and the scene has now been cleared.
No one is thought to have been injured.
