UPDATED: Two vehicles have been involved in a road traffic collision in Newport this afternoon (Saturday), which has ended with one vehicle coming to rest on its side.
Emergency services were called to Holyrood Street near the junction with Sea Street shortly before 13:00 after two cars – a Suzuki Alto and a Renault Clio – were involved in a collision.
The white Alto came to rest on its left hand side, however has since been rolled back onto its wheels.
No one has been seriously injured in the incident, which has resulted in the closure of Holyrood Street from the Lidl roundabout to Sea Street.
Recovery of the vehicles has been arranged.
UPDATE @ 13:55 – The vehicles have been recovered by Bartletts Service Station and the road has now reopened.
