UPDATED: A car has collided into a wall on The Broadway in Sandown this afternoon (Wednesday).
Police are attending the incident, which is said to have resulted in a tree being knocked down.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
UPDATE @ 15:05 – A single vehicle, a red Citroen Xsara Picasso, has mounted the pavement and collided with a garden wall, in turn hitting a small tree.
It is understood the Citroen was spun around after being involved in a collision with another car which was pulling out of Grove Road.
No one has been injured in the incident.
Recovery of the vehicle has been arranged.
The road remains open in both directions under Police direction.
UPDATE @ 16:00 – The car has been recovered by Stag Lane Motors and the incident cleared. The tree has been removed by Groundsells.
