Police are in attendance at a single vehicle collision in Newport this morning (Saturday), which has seen a car leave the carriageway and crash into a fence.
Recovery of the Audi A3 is underway at St George’s Way, between the Asda roundabout and the traffic light junction at Shide.
No one is thought to have been injured in the incident but damage has been caused to a garden boundary fence.
There are some delays in the area as Stag Lane Motors recover the vehicle from its off-road excursion.
UPDATE @ 15:50 – Police have confirmed that a 27-year-old man from Newport has been arrested on suspicion of being in charge of a vehicle while unfit through drink.
He remains in custody at this time.
