A minor 2-car collision in Bembridge is causing travel disruption this afternoon (Sunday).
Southern Vectis’ Route 8 buses are currently on diversion as a result of a crash on Embankment Road – between the villages of Bembridge and St Helens.
A Nissan Juke and a Honda Civic – both locally registered – have collided just by the Toll Gate Cafe.
The front wheel of one car and the rear wheel of the other are at 90 degree angles.
The road remains open to traffic in both directions.
Police are on scene and recovery of the vehicles has been arranged.
UPDATE – The scene has now been cleared and buses are returning to their normal route.
