One of the main roads into the village of Niton has been closed this afternoon (Wednesday) to enable repair work to a burst water main.
Newport Road has been closed from its junction with Rectory Road to its junction with Laceys Lane.
Motorists are being diverted via Beacon Alley, Whitwell Road, Godshill Road, High Street, Kemming Road, Chatfield Road and Rectory Road.





























































































Another burst main needs renewing on the island

More and more houses need much higher pressures to be forced through vintage pipework, so expect even more bursts as Ryde is ruined forever by the huge building soon to take place.
More expense for island residents who have to run litres of water before it becomes clear and drinkable.
