Emergency repair work to a burst water main has resulted in the closure of a busy road in Ventnor this morning (Thursday).
Church Street, between Belgrave Road and High Street, has been closed to traffic in both directions whilst Southern Water engineers repair a leaking pipe.
It is advised that a 4-inch main has failed. There is currently no estimated time of completion for the repair work.
Motorists are having to divert via Spring Hill, Mitchell Avenue, Ocean View Road, Gills Cliff Road, Castle Road and Alpine Hill.
