Sea Street & Cycle Track Cross Town Newport Link has been closed this morning (Wednesday) to enable Southern Water to carry out repairs to a burst 3″ main.
Sea Street & Cycle Track Cross Town Newport Link is closed from its junction with The Quay to its junction with Little London for a distance of 46 metres.
This is to enable Southern Water to carry out emergency repairs to a burst 3-inch water main.
The diversion will affect these streets: Cycle Track Cross Town Newport Link, Sea Street, Quay Street, High Street, Medina Way, Holyrood Street.
Diversion route(s) will be signed at the time of closure. Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the road is closed.
The closure was put in force at 11:15 hours on 3rd June 2020 and will remain in place for a maximum period of five days or until the works are completed, whichever is sooner.
