An emergency road closure has been put in place on Briddlesford Road near Wootton this afternoon (Monday) to allow for emergency repair works to a gas main.
SGN say that the road is temporarily closed in both directions between Blacklands Lane and Wootton Common roundabout.
Motorists are being diverted via Whiterails Road, Staplers Road and Long Lane – although Blacklands Lane remains open.
SGN say that it is too early to say how long it will take to complete the repair work, but repairs are likely to continue throughout this week.
Access to Briddlesford Lodge Farm is via the south end only.
