BEV LOWRIE AND CHRISTINE O’BRIEN WIN MCCLELLAND TROPHY

Bev Lowrie and Christine O’Brien have won the McClelland Trophy at Shanklin & Sandown Golf Club on 9th May. The McClelland Trophies were donated to the Ladies’ Section in 2018 by Margaret McClelland, Shanklin and Sandown’s longest serving lady member. This 9-hole competition takes place twice a year and the trophies were very much front and centre on 9th May, when battle was joined once again. Taking the honours were Bev Lowrie and Christine O’Brien winning with 25 points, with Sandie Gallard-Jupp and Bev Carroll taking second place with 23 points. Longest drive on the first was won by Penny Last, with Linda Piche taking nearest the pin on the 9th.
