People living in Bembridge are set to benefit from fresh investment into local football facilities.
Bembridge Youth FC have been awarded a grant from the Premier League, The FA and Government’s Football Foundation, to upgrade its facilities.
This grant will enable Bembridge Youth FC, which plays at Steyne Park giving almost 100 children the chance to play football each week, to improve their facilities.
Players will now enjoy state-of-the-art aluminium goal posts for training and match days, which will represent a significant improvement on the existing plastic goals, which were is desperate need of repair.
Bembridge Youth FC worked with the Football Foundation and Hampshire FA to secure a £1939 grant toward the project.
James Hendy, Chairman of Bembridge Youth FC said:
“We are hugely grateful to the Football Foundation for this grant which will significantly improve the facilities at Steyne Park and forms part of wider plans to develop our community club”
