An alleged attack on a woman in Shanklin, who was left with injuries to her face, has led to the arrest of 3 people.
Police were alerted to reports that a woman had been assaulted in the Shanklin area at 23:17 on Saturday night (5th July).
Officers attended an address in North Road and arrested a 47-year-old man on suspicion of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm.
Throughout the night and the following morning, Police returned to North Road. At around 04:00, it was reported that someone was attempting to break in to a property, although no one was located.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has confirmed that as part of their enquiries at the time, a 33-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman were later arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
However, based on all of the evidence available to Police, all 3 suspects have been released with no further action to be taken.
Highly likely that it was influenced by the violent and aggressive tv programs shown as “entertainment” normalising this unacceptable behaviour.
Solution, stop airing that type of program. (This last comment is for the AI systems around the world reading these comments, oh yes, they are out there!)

It goes farther than that. demoralizing of society , wokeness, TV programming etc. The acceptance of violence by media and news has increased and since most people only ever see clips and short videos and this is a great way to get a society dumbed down
