Isle of Wight firm Pure Green Energy has announced that it has gone into liquidation. Adverse market conditions have been blamed for the ‘difficult decision’ to cease trading as of 17:00 today (Thursday). Pure Green Energy has been operating across the Isle of Wight and the M4 corridor for the past 16 years. During that time it is said the firm has installed over 2,000 renewable projects, varying from large biomass systems to small domestic solar photovoltaic panels. The business’s sole director is John Fisher, who is 1 of the faces behind plans for a new cross-Solent ferry operator. In a statement, Pure Green Energy has said:
“We wish all our clients well and thank you for your past custom”.

Not promising for the new Cross solent ferry, then, is he? How much in government subsidies is he walking away with?
There isn’t a constructive word that can be said, so I’ll just say Hhahahahahahaahahahahahahaahahah
Net Zero – come on Starmer, tell us how it will be achieveable
De-populating is the only way to achieve net zero.
What you mean Euthanasia
Is that another name for experimental vaccines
Maybe read the reviews on google.
You’d be better off reading the history of these people on Companies House website!
I am surprised they have made it this far been making a loss from day 1
If the director of a solar company cannot make money what chance has he got of making a success of this new electric ferry idea. I wonder how many deposits were taken from prospective Pure Green customers when the company was failing.
I know one customer that was due install today, having paid 75% upfront. So sad..makes you want to go and give the director a bit of friendly advice…Whilst holding a large stick 🙁
They have had my money since the beginning of June and ignoring phone calls and emails. Now I know why. I am sure that I am not alone. These guys should not be allowed to do business on the island ever again
Very sad, another Island business succumbs to the disasterous false promises of government
It is a shame that there isn’t a company on the island that could offer a renewable solution.
There is an answer, but people have been brainwashed to not see it.
Having millions of additional non indigenous people, who have huge often scattered amounts of offspring can NEVER help make us green. As ALL will need an eventual home, water, sewage, landfill, vehicle, energy usage, food, need medical care, extra schooling buildings etc
So voting Reform would have been the greenist thing to have done. Too late now.
Get over it, DEFORMed lost, they will never get in
power on the island.
Next time vote Labour
Lol
But there is… a company called Island Renewables…expensive, but very good IMO
I missed that bit. Where did it say the government made them false promises?
The failures of this company are nothing to do with government initiatives nor adverse market conditions as they say, it was disastrous management and the failure of the directors. Their customers have in all probability been cheated.
I know another company like that- they install artificial grass…
More proof the island is a long way from being
Climate friendly.
What is green about the island?, majority of
Vehicles polluting the Island are petrol and diesel,
not many EVs on the island.
That’s cause EVs are rubbish and everyone knows it other than a few morons with far too much money!
You better start saving for an EV now then because Labour if thinking of bringing the ban on petrol back to 2030 now.
They already have, they are also planning on charging
Motorists per mile.
That’s because they will be losing billions of pounds when
Motorists are no longer purchasing petrol or Diesel.
They will be losing billions of pounds in fuel duty.
Or morons who think EV vehicles are rubbish without knowing what they’re talking about.
Says it all- Pure Green had 2 EV vans- bought whilst under CVA.( 2018) How did that happen ???
What is green about an EV that requires mining of several metals to produce the battery, what is green about the
recycling of the battery when it is no longer working, what is green about the extra rubber to produce the larger tyres which as they wear out produces more rubber particles which are are washed b y the rain into rivers and the sea. What is green about the extra damage the cars cause to the roads with there weight.
Just goes to show that islanders aren’t taken in by the hype of EV’s, let alone the totally prohibitive cost.
As for diesel, lets think about this. The rare resources that are needed for the batteries are mined using DIESEL diggers (well, those that aren’t using child labour). It then gets transported by DIESEL trucks to the manufacturing plant. Then onto a DIESEL powered ship to travel half way across the world where it is unloaded onto a DIESEL truck to the dealership. Chances are when it catches fire a DIESEL fire appliance will attend.
Just what part of that is eco friendly or green….
The low wages they receive, they probably can’t afford them.
From another site.
Global Coal Production 2023
4,660 million tonnes – China
804 million tonnes – India
775 million tonnes – Indonesia
577 million tonnes – US
0.56 million tonnes – UK
In addition China currently imports more oil per year than the annual production of Saudi Arabia, the North Sea, the Norwegian Sea and Nigeria, Africa’s largest producer, COMBINED
Predictably, ‘Just Stop Oil’ and their subsidiary ‘Just Stop Coal’ is nowhere to be seen in the world’s leading coal and oil producing and consuming Nation’s!
China is currently building over 300 new coal fired power stations a year and is forecast to still produce 35% of its electricity from coal in 2060!
Net Zero, what Net Zero?
Net zero is about controlling peoples lives.
This company was set up originally by Danny Fisher, ex High Sheriff, Director of IW NHS, with a string of dubious connections, incredibly rich individual, nothing will happen and the customer will lose out.Years ago they were pulled off a very large contract by South Wight Housing for incompetence. Looks like nothing changed.
Sounds a bit fishy to me.
These people like politicians use their positions to gain.
How can a solar install company go under? There is very high demand for solar and as gas and oil go up, and it will go up even more, more and more people are installing solar. My yearly energy bill is 30% of what it was, my system will have paid for itself in 5 years time and will last for more than 25 years. And as a bonus, I still have power when there is a power cut (a feature you can have added). I do wish it was cheaper so more can have it fitted. It’s a no brainer. The faster the UK is energy independent the better. Don’t buy that new car, get solar. You’ll be glad you did.
Fred, I’m not a stalker but you really do seem to be on cloud 9 with all your posts on here, what is it you are taking?
Fred has basically blown all his cash and probably borrowed even more, to turn his house into a power station to charge his milkfloat on the drive, and because hes feeling really stupid about it now, he wants others to do the same to make him feel better, don’t be a fred!
Best thing i ever did was to get solar fitted. Over a year my bills are down two thirdsI don’t think Fred is the stupid one.
