Officers remained in situ all day before the arrival of detectives from Newport CID at lunchtime. Then, at just before 17:30, forensic investigators from the mainland arrived in Ventnor and set about collecting evidence from both inside and outside the terraced home.
Detectives returned to the property late last night and removed a number of evidence bags. Police remain at the property this morning (Tuesday).
