The deadline to apply for a ‘spare’ seat is 16:00 on Friday 12th July 2024. For details on how to apply, visit https://www.iow.gov.uk/schools-and-education/home-to-school-transport/spare-seat-scheme/. So on my kid’s bus there are 35/40 spare seats, but because Council trying to be greedy no one takes up, instead car sharing or Sothern Vectis ( can use ticket on all busses, evening and w/ends). £570 per year for school transport is ridiculous…
Spend your chid allowance of £20+ per kid or some of the £15 thousand universal credit that parents now get. Of course you could always be an exception and work more than 16 hours and pay your own way in life
Don’t get universal credit, savings to high !…. and don’t work anymore, enjoying life.
Enjoy life while you can, another Plandemic is on the cards,
last time round Starmer wanted harsher Lockdowns, now he
is PM people will be in for a treat.
I too am enjoying life, beats working.
Leave that to the Numpty’s
Not sure why marking down,if for example 20 took up seats at £100 that would be £6,000 extra for council, multiplying across other routes and could make a lot of extra revenue. Bus costs same to run with 5 or 50.
It isn’t becuase the council are greedy, it is because the kids don’t want to be seen on the sponger benefit bus
Bit of an old photo being all the double deckers are now either In the standard green livery or coaster livery
