The annual Shanklin Rotary Sale, which was due to take place next month, has once again been cancelled due to COVID.
Organisers say that due to the ‘continuing threat’ of COVID-19, with the increase of cases of the Omicron variant, the organisation’s health and safety advisor has issued guidelines that means events should either be cancelled or postponed.
A spokesperson has said:
“It is with much regret that our Annual Sale due to take place in January 2022 will once again not take place. We are hopeful that should the situation improve we can hold a Sale in April.
“We realise that this announcement will be a disappointment to many of you who look forward to this annual event, but we must consider the safety of our members, volunteers and the public who support us.
“On behalf of Rotary Club of Shanklin, I would like to wish everyone who helps and supports our sale a Happy and safe New Year”.
