A road in Apse Heath is to be closed overnight tonight (Friday) for carriageway reinstatement works.
Alverstone Road will be closed from 19:00 until 06:00 on Saturday morning to allow contractors to repair a failing reinstatement in the carriageway.
Those accessing Winford or Alverstone will need to divert via Winford Road and Forest Road.
The road will be closed from Apse Heath roundabout to the junction with the access road to Bigbury Farm.
What about the dog walkers? What is happening to the ‘bridge’ along the cycle route. One would think it spanned the solent the time it has taken.
