2 Isle of Wight charities have received £2,250 each thanks to Terry & Sue Ramplin’s Christmas Lights display at Long Lane in Newport.
Each year, members of the public are invited to enjoy the magical display of lights– a festive tradition that has been taking place for over 22 years.
Islanders have once again dug deep to support this year’s charities – Daisy Chains IW and IW Prostate Cancer Support Group – with a total of £4,500 raised in 2021. In the past 8 years alone the Ramplins’ display has raised in excess of £34,000 for a variety of local charities.
Representatives from the 2 organisations met at Terry and Sue’s house earlier on today (Monday) to receive their cheques.
Long Lane Christmas Lights will return in December and will feature in Island Echo’s Light up the Wight. You can read more about the competition and map at www.islandecho.co.uk/xmas.
