The Gordon Endler Memorial Ride, an annual motorbike charity ride raising money for 2 local air ambulance charities, will take place next Saturday (29th June). The ride is held in memory of Gordon Endler, a popular local biker who died in a road traffic collision in July 2020. His partner, Jacqui Stannett, was on the back of the bike and survived thanks to the air ambulance airlifting her direct to Southampton General Hospital. Jacqui will lead the ride alongside Gordon’s son, Joe. It is organised by Jon Flexi and Pippa Ellis of Solent 1990’s Sportsbikes and is raising money for both Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance and Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance. Riders are invited to meet from 11:30 for a 12:30 departure from Sandown Airport, where the ride will also finish. The cafe will be open for food and drinks and there are onsite toilets. A team of volunteer marshals will be holding traffic at junctions and traffic lights to keep the bikes together. Other motorists are asked to be patient. Bikers and non-bikers are all welcome to support the ride, with members of the public welcome to view the bikes at the start/finish. There will be volunteers from the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance at the start point, and collection tins will be carried round the route. The public can also see the bikes at break stops at Freshwater Bay and Blackgang Viewpoint.

Was there ever a prosecution for the collision? I don’t remember reports of one.
Thankyou for the heads up IE.
