The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has been scrambled a rural East Wight village this morning (Tuesday) amid a medical emergency.
It was at around 11:20 that the air ambulance was seen to be landing on St Helens Green to aid crews from the Isle of Wight ambulance service.
Island Echo understands that a male in life threatening condition is being assessed within the domestic property by both land and air critical care paramedics.

On scene on Station Road are 2 units from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue service as well as 2 ambulance crews.
Sheets have been installed outside the front of the property whilst the male is transported into the air ambulance.
Now in the hands of the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance Critical Care Team, the patient will be flown to University Hospital Southampton where he will receive treatment.
