Every Friday, throughout the Summer months, Shanklin & Sandown Golf Club ran a 9-hole multi-tee stableford competition to raise money for the Captains’ charity, SSAFA (the armed forces charity).
The competition, which was open to all, not only produced weekly winners but was also run as a league, where a player’s best 4 scores were totalled and a prize of a 4-ball at Littlehampton Golf Club and a £150 Wightlink voucher were on offer.
Topping the table was Adrian Wilkinson with an aggregate score of 90.
