The Isle of Wight Ladies 2XI secured their first win of the season on Saturday at Smallbrook, and the Ladies 1XI made it 2 wins in 2 weeks against Basingstoke sides.
The Men’s 2XI became the first side this year to beat top of the league Basingstoke 4XI in a thrilling and close encounter. The Men’s 1XI travelled to Havant where they were unable to secure a victory, despite all efforts.
Sunday saw the U16 Girls ‘A’ team travel to Eastbourne for the 3rd round of the National Plate competition. Despite a strong and spirited performance, they were knocked out of the competition.
The Men’s 2XI travelled to Haslemere for their 2nd game of the weekend, in a rearranged fixture. Overcoming tired legs from Saturday, they walked away with a draw and an unbeaten weekend.
