£1,210 RAISED AT SANDOWN & SHANKLIN GOLF CLUB HOSPICE DAY

The ladies of Shanklin & Sandown Golf Club raised £1,210 for Mountbatten at their annual Hospice Day on Tuesday 10th May.

The ladies invited 1 man onto each team and battle was joined in an 18-hole Texas Scramble.

The winning team were David Ames, Fran Cole, Christine O’Brien, and Anne Corby with a net score of 61.1. Runners-up with a net 61.4 were Mark Taskas, Lesley Ismail, Jean Munds, and Ruth Graves. 3rd place honours went to Steve Brewer, Amanda Wade, Hazel Smith, and Vicki Guildford with a net 63.6.

Sandown & Shanklin Golf Club Seniors’ Championship

38 entrants took part in Shanklin and Sandown Golf Club’s Seniors’ Championship on 28th April.

The winner of the Gross Competition, and Senior’s Champion, was past Seniors’ Captain David Ames, carding 76.

Winner of the Net Competition was Peter Donaldson with a net 65.
