A 9-year-old from the Isle of Wight has taken his first steps into the world of frame running thanks to the generosity of supporters within the athletics community.
Jake Burton has been loaned a frame runner by Neil Costello of Cambridge and Coleridge Athletics Club, providing him with specialist equipment and opening up new opportunities within the sport.
The gesture has enabled Jake to begin his journey in frame running, a discipline designed to support athletes with mobility impairments, helping to build both confidence and enjoyment through physical activity.
Further backing has come from Ventnor Rotary Club, whose donation has helped make the opportunity possible.
Jake has already shown enthusiasm and determination as he begins training, with early signs suggesting a promising future ahead.
Looking to the months ahead, Jake is hoping to compete in Warwick later this year, marking an exciting milestone in his sporting journey.

Well done Jake and good luck. PS, glasses suit you x
