Emerson Tattersall has joined Cowes Sports after scoring more than 250 goals for Ventnor and establishing himself as Isle of Wight football’s most consistent marksman.
Emerson’s record speaks for itself. During his time with Harwood’s Division 1 Ventnor, he has scored in excess of 250 goals, a remarkable return underlining his accuracy in front of goal.
This season alone he has netted 27 goals in just 8 games, including 10 in a single match against High Park. However, injury has prevented him from featuring in recent fixtures.
Last season he struck 37 goals in 20 matches, while in 2023/24 he scored 27 in 16 appearances. Over his last 3 campaigns, he has found the net 91 times.
Tattersall previously spent a season with Newport IW F.C. in the Wessex Premier, but family commitments have until now prevented a return to that level.

A Cowes Sports spokesperson said:
“A born finisher, he has been a very lethal striker for Ventnor over the years, and it’s good to finally get his services at the club.”
Cowes manager Mark Woodhouse said of his new signing:
“A player we have had an eye on for a while. He has the experience, and I’m excited for him to make the step up to Wessex League football again.”
