An 18ft yacht suffering from mechanical failure has been towed into Bembridge Harbour this morning (Sunday).
Bembridge RNLI were paged to launch the All Weather Lifeboat (ALB) at 11:02 after HM Coastguard were alerted by the yacht’s crew by mobile phone that they had suffered a broken rudder off Seaview.
The ALB launched and made way to the scene before attaching a tow line and taking both the yacht and her crew into Bembridge Harbour.
