The Post Office has returned to Wootton today (Wednesday) after an absence of some 9 months.
A temporary outreach office has been set up in the Parish Council offices at Brannon Way. It is a result of the loss of the Post Office at Central back in November last year.
Godshill’s postmaster has taken on the responsibility of operating the Post Office for 1 day a week – every Wednesday.
Graham Brander, Post Office Network Provision Lead, said:
“We are delighted to be restoring Post Office service to Wootton Bridge as we know how important a Post Office is to a community.
“We thank the Postmaster for Godshill for providing this service.”

Privatisation is wonderful !!
One day a week eh? Must ensure I only post parcels on that day then!
Wonder if they are any cheaper than using a courier service? Probably not – hence why Post Offices are closing…
