Carers IW, a charity that supports unpaid carers across the Isle of Wight, has received an amazing donation of £1,087 from the ladies of Whitwell WI.
Throughout 2019 the group has been raising funds by hosting bake sales, quiz nights and receiving general donations. In addition, the ladies have been ensuring that the group are aware of Carers IW and the support available to unpaid carers on the Island.
Elizabeth Martin, Manager at Carers IW, says:
“As a small charity we rely on donations that enable us to offer carers a variety of services from much-needed emotional support to training. We intend to run a series of cooking sessions for carers using this donation starting on Friday 22nd November.
“We are very grateful to the ladies of Whitwell WI for their hard work in raising these funds for us”.
