Hose Rhodes Dickson is boosting the wellbeing of the West Wight community, with a long term sponsorship of the West Wight Sports & Community Centre (WWSCC).
The sports centre has played a pivotal role during the coronavirus pandemic, supporting local residents and vulnerable people with its Coronavirus Hub. Staff and volunteers have co-ordinated a response for people in the West Wight who have been in need of extra support by delivering shopping and offering hot meals and emotional support where needed.
To launch the sponsorship, Marcus Waldron, Hose Rhodes Dickson director, handed over a gazebo bearing the branding of the agency and the centre.
Clare Griffin, WWSCC manager, said:
“We are very grateful for this generous support from Hose Rhodes Dickson, which will help us continue our work, promoting physical and mental health in our community. The new gazebo will be used at events such as the Isle of Wight Festival of Running on Sunday, June 6.”
Marcus commented:
“Helping our local community has always been important to us and we recognise the important role that WWSCC plays in the West Wight community, especially during the pandemic.
“We are pleased to be able to support the centre and all the hard work they do.”
