West Wight Men in Sheds are back on the road thanks to the support of the community and local businesses.
The charity had to dispose of their van at the end of 2020 as it had become beyond economical repair, with fundraising launched for a replacement van.
Now, thanks to donations received through crowdfunding page and a 2-year sponsorship deal with The Bathroom Showroom in Wootton, they are back on the road.
West Wight Men in Sheds works to help reduce isolation and loneliness in people – particularly but not exclusively older people – in West Wight and surrounding area. They are planning to increase the services they offer later this year which will include a stamp collecting group and a photography group.
St Helens-based Ztam Graphics & Design have been thanked for donating the vehicle’s graphics and thanks has also been paid to Brite Wight Valeting for their support.

Well done to all concerned! Its a great program that needs support and who best to support it? The local community! Id like to see a garage support the van too with servicing and repairs that way the team dont have to worry about the cost of maintaining the van and no one is making money out of them!
