51-year-old Gary Dauncey is facing more time behind bars after admitting to 2 burglaries which took place on the Isle of Wight.
Dauncey entered an address in Salisbury Way, Sandown in the early hours of 16th November 2020 – some 18 months ago.
The occupant of the address was awoken by the noise as the convicted drug dealer moved through her house and searched her TV cabinet before leaving the address.
A few days later, at around 11:50 on 22nd November 2020, Dauncey entered Pan Stores in Newport and walked around before entering the storeroom corridor which is for staff only. When challenged by a member of staff, Dauncey turned around and left the shop.
Enquiries including forensics and CCTV, as well as Ring doorbell footage, identified Dauncey as the man responsible for these 2 incidents.
Appearing at Isle of Wight Crown Court on Thursday (5th May), Dauncey, formerly of Osborne Road in Shanklin, admitted burglary and attempted burglary. He will appear at the same court for sentencing on 27th May.
Dauncey has a history of offending including being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs, assault and theft.
Why don’t scummy bastards like him die a horrible death instead of decent people
Probably get a small fine, a little probation, community service, but nothing of note.
Or sent on a “thinking course”!!!!!
Why not use the american model for sentencing, three convictions in a set period results in life sentence, this scum will never change and it is only a matter of time when it is confronted by a victim and the victim gets seriously hurt or worse.
We should give him an option for self deletion. Maybe with some physical encouragement. Adds nothing to society, a waste of space and tax money.
He will never change, and only ever get small fines or sentences. What’s needed is somewhere where he can be deported and never come back and others like him that way they can steal from each other and find their own way of dealing with it
So if I read this right.. He was a Drug dealer who got caught, then a Burglar who got caught, then a shop lifter who got caught, committed an assault and got caught and despite all these failures I will bet that certain scummy groupies will think he is ‘just so cool’…. whereas we normal folk know that he is as bad at criminality as he is at being a useful member of society!! Time to go away I think,,,, and perhaps a career change!
