UPDATED WITH VIDEO: Royal Navy bomb disposal experts have returned to the Island for the second time this week after a grenade was discovered on a West Wight beach earlier today (Saturday).
The Explosive Ordnance Disposal team were called from Portsmouth when the unexploded device was discovered on Brook beach by a dog walker.
Police from Yarmouth Police Station set up a cordon on the remote beach ahead of the Navy team’s arrival on the scene just before 17:20.
The Needles Coastguard Rescue Team also attended the incident.
It is currently unknown if the device is the same grenade discovered in January that was left in situ after a landslip concealed the explosive.
