UPDATED: A 4×4 has been involved in a road traffic collision in Ryde tonight (Monday) which has resulted in a main road becoming blocked in both directions.
Firefighters from Ryde, Police and ambulance crews are currently at the scene on Argyll Street. The road is currently closed between West Street and Pellhurst Road.
No one is believed to have been seriously injured in the crash, which occurred at just before 19:40.
In total two cars and a van have been damaged by the 4×4, one of them – a Fiat Multipla – having been shunted onto the pavement.
UPDATE @ 21:15 – The incident has been cleared and the road has reopened.
