UPDATED: Motorists are advised to avoid the Hunnyhill area of Newport this evening (Wednesday) following a 2-car collision.
Police are currently in attendance at the smash between a light blue BMW E36 and a Suzuki Splash, red in colour. The incident has taken place at the crossroads.
Island Echo readers are reporting that traffic is at a standstill, especially exiting Sainsbury’s car park.
Delays to Southern Vectis Route 1 buses are to be expected.
No one is thought to have been injured.
UPDATE – The vehicles have now been cleared and traffic is flowing in the area once again.
