The Isle of Wight continues to be a very popular holiday destination option for many and is perfect as a motorhome friendly destination. Used caravans can be acquired easily at a cheap price and are perfect as a means of an excellent getaway option for holiday parks. These parks have great space and facilities for children and can ensure the break is kept cheap. The locations are also usually at the seaside, which is always an added bonus for families. So here are the top five caravan friendly holiday parks to visit in the Isle of Wight.

Whitecliff Bay Holiday Park – BEMBRIDGE

This remains one of the most popular destinations as it have easy access to a secluded sandy beach, so is perfect as an Isle of Wight family holiday. The park itself is near Bembridge and seaside resorts of Shanklin and Sandown. Whitecliff Bay Holiday Park also has great facilities that includes both an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, a sports lounge, sauna and a bar and restaurant. There is also an outdoor adventure playground for kids and the option to play mini golf. The park is also dog friendly.

St Helen’s Coastal Resort – ST HELENS

The resort has now been acquired by Aria resorts and offers a luxury holiday in the Isle of Wight. It sits on the east coast of the island and provides access to the secluded Priory Bay beach. You can stay in luxury lodges, as well as caravans on the site, which is renowned for being very quiet in comparison to usual holiday parks. It also has a number of great facilities such as an outdoor heated pool, an arcade and adventure playground with playing fields for football, badminton and even volleyball with nets provided.

Nodes Point Holiday Park – ST HELENS

This is one of the four Nodes Point holiday parks on the Isle of Wight and is rated the best of them. It sits near the east coast of the island and as expected has great access to a number of the top beaches at St Helen’s and Priory Bay. The park is also near both Sandown and Shanklin but a long journey from the quieter west coast of the Isle of Wight. Nodes point has top facilities that includes an indoor swimming pool, as well as sports courts and an adventure playground. There is also a restaurant, bar and shop on site and the park is dog friendly.

Landguard Holiday Park – SHANKLIN

Another park that is housed near Sandown and Shanklin that is one of the best on the Isle of Wight. It is renowned for having some great facilities on offer, which is why it is a hugely popular park. This includes an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, a restaurant and bar, as well as a playground, shop and launderette. Landguard holiday park is also dog friendly.

Lower Hyde Holiday Park – SHANKLIN

Lower Hyde holiday park is located near to Landguard and is another of the top sites on the Isle of Wight, which is near to the busy towns of Shanklin and Sandown. It is another park with great facilities that includes both an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, as well as sports courts and an adventure playground. The holiday park also has a restaurant, bar and launderette and is dog friendly.
