Residents are being reminded that today’s (Tuesday’s) planning committee will be available to watch live online.
The meeting is expected to attract considerable interest with the committee due to consider an application for permission for the onshore elements of the Perpetuus Tidal Energy Centre (PTEC).
With space limited at County Hall to enable social distancing, the Isle of Wight Council is reminding residents that the safest way for people to observe the debate is online.
If you must attend the meeting, you should take a lateral flow test on the day of the meeting, before entering County Hall. If negative you can continue to attend the meeting. If the result is positive, you should self-isolate and book a PCR test immediately.
If you are at the meeting in County Hall, face coverings should be worn, except when you are addressing the committee. Keep your distance from other people and continue to wash your hands regularly. The chamber will be frequently ventilated.
The link to watch the meeting will available here.
