Red Funnel has been forced to cancel at least 2 early morning commuter crossings today (Wednesday) due to a technical issue.
It’s said that the 06:05 hi-speed sailing from Southampton and the 06:40 from West Cowes have both been pulled.
It’s unclear at this time whether there will be any further cancellations today.
Island Echo understands the issue relates to Red Jet 7’s generator.
The cross-Solent operator apologises for any inconvenience to your journey.
UPDATE @ 06:37 – The 07:15 from Southampton and the 07:40 from West Cowes have now also been cancelled.
UPDATE @ 07:53 – Red Funnel has confirmed that the Red Jet service has now returned to a normal timetable.

Shut up and don’t apologise don’t you dare….Redfunnel your a joke..
Time for a bridge, could easily be done.
Humber Bridge is a perfect example of what can be achieved.
From Colwell to the Mainland would be great,
only a short distance.
