TDG Tree Services (TDG) have been busy over the New Year period with not only helping Newport Rowing Club, their newest sponsor but also raising money for charity through their Christmas tree collection service.

The tree surgeons took to Newport Rowing Club on Thursday 2nd January to dismantle a Sycamore tree that needed to be removed.

The weather wasn’t on their side but they carried out the removal of the tree ready for the new season that lays ahead.

On top of that, TDG also offered a Christmas tree removal service raising money for a local charity – People Matter IW.

With an extended collection to include Sunday the 5th as well as the Saturday prior, they managed to raise a great sum of money for the charity.

£500 has been donated to People Matter IW and the team have said they hope to return later in the year to offer another Christmas tree collection service.

All the chippings have been donated to attractions and parks across the Island.
