Cross-Solent services are suspended or delayed this morning (Tuesday) as heavy rain and gusty winds batter the Isle of Wight.
Hovertravel has cancelled all timetabled crossings between Ryde and Southsea.
Tickets would normally be accepted on Wightlink’s Fastcat service, between Ryde Pier Head and Portsmouth Harbour, but that too is suspended due to the weather conditions.
Instead, all Hovertravel and Fastcat customers are being diverted to Wightlink’s Fishbourne-Portsmouth Gunwharf car ferry service.
Red Funnel is having its own issues this morning with the 06:00 vehicle ferry from Southampton, and the 07:30 from East Cowes, cancelled due to essential maintenance.
