Firefighters from Newport have tackled a skip fire on the industrial estate this evening (Wednesday).
One pumping appliance from Newport Fire Station was mobilised to the scene on Manners View at 19:00, where a fire was discovered in a large skip.
A passing member of the public spotted smoke issuing from the Biffa owned refuse skip and called 999.
The fire has been contained and extinguished using a main jet. Nearby buildings have been unaffected.
